A little bit about podiatry...
The term Podiatry, now in use in the UK, incorporates chiropody care and includes dermatology/skin, nail surgery, fugal nail problems, diabetes foot care, biomechanics and foot pain and ANY condition affecting the lower limb.
Podiatrists undertake a minimum 3 year medical science honours degree course whilst practising with the NHS. Elaine and associates are also, as mandatory, registered with The Health Care Professions Council. Podiatrists must undertake continuing Professional Development courses to maintain the right to practice.
